CAREPORTAL CHRISTMAS AT HOLY CROSS

We have two great opportunities to bless CarePortal children and their families on Friday, December 16. One way is to sponsor a CarePortal family. Another way is to volunteer to serve. Sign up for both of the opportunities or just one. A few details for each opportunity appear below.

1. SPONSOR A CAREPORTAL FAMILY

Christmas gifts

Sponsor a CarePortal family and bless the children in that family with Christmas gifts. Simply shop for a gift for each child in the family, wrap it, and label it with the child's name and the mom's name.

The suggested gift amount is around $25 per child. If you choose, you can be paired with the CarePortal family and present each child in the family with their gift.

Click the button below to sign up for this opportunity. After you have signed up, you will receive further information about your child/children and family. The giving tree will be set up on Saturday, November 26. You may drop off your gifts between Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, December 11, in order to verify that each child has a present.

2. VOLUNTEER TO SERVE

Volunteer to serve the CarePortal families.

  • Prepare to serve the catered meal and set up the Parish Hall for the meal.
    (5:15-7:00 PM)
  • Greet the CarePortal families and guide them to the Parish Hall.
    (5:15-7:00 PM)
  • Clean up the Parish Hall, kitchen, and Sanctuary afterward.
    (6:30-8:30 PM)
  • Help to distribute the gifts to families and connect the Holy Cross sponsors with the receiving families.

Christmas Star

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CAREPORTAL CHRISTMAS

The evening begins at 6 PM to register the families. Registration is followed by dinner in the Parish Hall. Around 6:45 PM, everyone is welcomed to a program of Christmas carols and devotion in the Sanctuary followed by the distribution of the gifts and celebration. The event concludes around 8:00 PM.
