The Faith We Confess
-
The Bible is the Word of God - true and without error in all its parts - and,
therefore, is the final authority in all matters of faith and life (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
-
There is only one true God, who has created us and all that exists, and who has
revealed Himself in three persons (The Triune God): God the Father, God the Son,
and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19).
-
All people are conceived and born sinful and are completely incapable of saving
themselves by good living (Psalms 51:15; Romans 3:10-12, 23).
-
God, motivated by His unconditional love for us, provided for our salvation
through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16).
-
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-10).
-
Faith in Jesus Christ comes by the power of the Holy Spirit who creates faith
through God's Word and equips and empowers believers for faithful living in
service to God and others (Romans 10:17, Galatians 5:22-25).
-
All Christians are called to live for Jesus, seeking to serve and honor Him in
all facets of life as they actively participate in God’s mission to save the
people of the world (Matthew 28:18-20).
